Gen Z Is Tossing Their Tampons, Ditching Their Pads to Promote ‘Free Bleeding’

The concept of free bleeding is taking center stage, and people are having a hard time wrapping their heads around this.

Whether we like it or not, most of us have to deal with having a monthly period. Young women on apps like TikTok are getting real about having to use things like pads and tampons during their period. And due to this, they are introducing to their followers a very unique concept of free bleeding, where you allow your menstrual blood to flow in a free direction.

While free bleeding can be messy and a lot of younger women find it to be a much better alternative to using products to manage their flow, it’s still a bizarre concept.

One TikTok user shared more light on this ordeal and how open she is to experiences such as these. She confirmed that she does not leave her home during her period. ‘I stay home when I am on my period, so basically I stay to bleed’- she shared. If she does need to leave her home, she will end up wearing period underwear, which is another great alternative to the usual pads and tampons, she continued.

There are a lot of people and moms who are enjoying this, and they feel that there is nothing wrong with bleeding freely into your bikini bottoms, while others feel it has limited their menstrual cycle, so it does not last as long as usual.
