‘Incestuous paedophile’ nurse saw ‘husband walk in on her having sex with teen stepson’
A nurse who was discovered engaging in sexual activity with her 15-year-old stepson has been branded an “incestuous paedophile” by the teenager’s mother. Alexis Von Yates, 34, received a two-year prison sentence on Tuesday following her no contest plea to a charge of lewd and lascivious battery.
Legal documents revealed that Von Yates’ husband discovered his wife with his teenage stepson on the living room sofa in July last year. During the sentencing proceedings, the boy’s mother confessed that Von Yates’ behaviour makes her “physically ill” and branded the nurse a “coward”.
The mum informed the court that her son is currently receiving therapy and revealed his father has spoken to him just once over the past year. She declared: “I will be by his side to support him, just as I always have.
“But it is not fair that I am the only one left to pick up the pieces of the mess Alexis created. I am angry, I am hurt, at times it makes me physically ill. But I, like [my son] will rise above.
“Despite all of the trauma inflicted upon him, he still has a beautiful life to look forward to. A life full of love, hope and endless possibilities.”, reports the Mirror.
She continued: “As for you Alexis, you have shown absolutely no remorse or accountability for your despicable actions.”
The mother continued: “But there is something you will never escape, the deep well emptiness inside of you. The lack of compassion, or love, or care. You systemically manipulated, groomed, and sexually abused a child. Through your actions, and through your conduct since you have proven to be a coward.
“There is nowhere you can go to escape the truth. For the rest of your life the world will see you for exactly what you are. An incestuous paedophile who will forever only be remembered for what she took from a child.”
Von Yates merely replied “no comment” when asked if she wished to address the court. She received a two-year prison sentence, followed by two years of community supervision and 10 years of sex offender probation.
Von Yates must also fulfil 200 hours of community service, meet court expenses and settle fines. According to earlier court records, Von Yates tucked her two children into bed before spending time with her 15-year-old stepson on the lounge sofa.
The teenager informed police during August investigations that he had travelled to Florida during the summer holidays to see his father and shared a bed with his stepmother while his father was working.
The duo allegedly shared a THC vape while playing video games and watching films. Court papers revealed the lad informed officers that around 1am, Von Yates selected a movie before allegedly making further advances by declaring the film was tedious and supposedly confessing how “horny” she felt because “she had not had sex in two weeks and she was on her period”.
As the youngster began kissing his stepmother’s neck, she reportedly told him: “I wish you were 18, because you’re not old enough.”
Von Yates is alleged to have then removed her underwear.
The paperwork detailed how the unsuspecting father and husband returned from work to find his wife and son on the sofa, completely unclothed. The teenager allegedly fled to the bathroom, whilst the dad called Von Yates a “child predator”.
The father subsequently drove his son to his grandparents’ residence, telling the lad he “ruined his life” while consuming beer during the journey, according to the court documents. The next day the teen contacted Von Yates who allegedly told him she wished his father hadn’t discovered them, the affidavit stated.
Von Yates was detained in November and had her nursing licence stripped. She received an emergency suspension from the Florida Department of Health after officials determined she “lacks the good judgment and moral character necessary to be a registered nurse”.
