95-YEAR-OLD WOMAN CHARGED WITH MURDER IN DEATH OF ELDERLY NURSING HOME ROOMMATE

According to reports, Galina Smirnova, 95, has been charged with second-degree murder after allegedly beating her 89-year-old roommate, Nina Kravtsov, to death at a Brooklyn nursing home.

Police say Kravtsov, a Holocaust survivor, was found in bed with fatal head injuries, while Smirnova was caught washing blood off her hands. A wheelchair foot pedal is believed to be the weapon.
