Charlie Kirk’s Widow Won’t Push for Death Penalty for Murder Suspect
Charlie Kirk’s widow, Erika, has just confirmed that she will not be pushing forward for the accused killer in her husband’s assassination to face the death penalty.
The mother of two mentioned how she was not going to do that, and the decision should be left to the prosecutors. This was shared as a part of her interview with the New York Times recently.
She says she keeps being asked the same questions over and over again and therefore would like to take this moment to clear the air, once and for all.
‘I have a lot of people ask me this, time and time again!’- she shared. The 36-year-old widower says that she doesn’t want that man’s blood on her ledger. Instead, she would like the government to decide on this because she feels that’s the best way to go about it.
‘I just don’t want that to happen, and I’ve said it time and time again. This might be the only thing that stops me from going to heaven and being with Charlie, and I would never want that!’- she mentioned in an emotional tone.

The news comes as she took part in the final rites of her husband and wore the blood-stained pendant after his assassination to keep him in remembrance as the world bid a final farewell.
