Newsom Trolls Trump Over Hegseth’s ‘No Fat Troops’ Remarks: “Commander In Chief Needs To Go!”

California Governor Gavin Newsom has used Pete Hegseth’s latest decree to troll Donald Trump on social media. On Tuesday, Secretary of War Hegseth spoke to top military brass and used his speech to slam ‘fat troops’ and ‘fat generals’, announcing that the strict new ‘male level’ fitness standards would be applicable.

Newsom, who has been mimicking Trump’s social media style, swiftly jumped on to Hegseth’s comments and used those to taunt the president in more ways than one.

‘Frankly, it’s getting so tiring to look at combat formations, or really any formation, and see fat troops – Hegseth mentioned to military leaders.

‘Likewise, it’s completely unacceptable to see fat generals and admirals in the halls of the Pentagon, and leading commands around the nation and the whole world!’- he added.

Hegseth shared that every single member of the US military forces at all ranks would be required to undergo the PT test twice a year and also meet the height and weight requirements. On that note, Newsom said that it’s about time that the rules be applied to all, sharing a meme trolling Trump and his love for McDonald’s. He said that it was unacceptable by all means to see a Commander in Chief as fat as Trump walking in the halls of the White House, and therefore, change was needed.
