Doctor injects just one half of her face with botox to reveal what it really does to your face
Taking Botox temporarily paralyzes the muscles in the face, giving the appearance of smoother-looking skin. And a video uploaded to Instagram by Dr Farrell documented what it can look like in reality.
The doctor injected herself with Botox in the lower muscles on the right side of her face, two weeks before filming the video to show the differences. Remarkably, the medic was seen struggling to get any movement out of the right side of her face, while the left side was a lot more expressive.
Dr Farrell said: “You can see that the platysma muscle on this [left] side is really contracting and pulling my jawline down, and so is my DAO [muscle], pulling the corner of my mouth down.”
