New Jersey Spa forced to allow trans women in female nude section after being sued
🚨 New Jersey Korean spa forced to allow trans women in female nude section after being sued
King Spa in Palisades Park, a popular Korean-style spa where nudity is mandatory in certain areas, has updated its policies following a lawsuit filed by a transgender woman.
According to court documents:
• In 2022, customer Alexandra Goebert sued after she was denied access to the female nude section because she still had male genitalia, despite having a New Jersey ID that lists her as female.
• The spa and Goebert reached a confidential settlement in August.
• As part of that agreement, King Spa implemented a new policy and staff training.
🔹 New Policy:
Any guest may use the locker room or nude facilities that correspond with the gender identity shown on their government-issued ID — regardless of anatomy.
🔹 If customers are uncomfortable:
The policy says they may request a private spa area or decline to use the communal nude sections.
🔹 Additional notes:
The updated rules state that guests should expect that others using nude spaces “may have bodies that do not appear to align with stereotypical body parts associated with that gender.”
King Spa has not publicly commented yet, and it’s unclear how customers have responded since the policy change.
