Child Molester Who Adopted Female Identity Sent to Men’s Prison
A biologically male sex offender who later began identifying as female has been jailed in a men’s prison after being convicted of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl years earlier.
Natalie Wolf, formerly known as Ryan Haley, attacked the teenager in Washington, Tyne and Wear. The victim eventually reported the abuse, and Wolf was found guilty at Newcastle Crown Court despite denying the offence and claiming the jury, police, and lawyers were part of a conspiracy.

Under current UK rules, transgender women who still have male genitalia or who have committed violent or sexual crimes must be held in male prisons. Wolf, now 47, is therefore serving their sentence at HMP Durham.
In court, the victim bravely confronted Wolf, saying she still sees them as Ryan Haley — “the man who sexually abused me.” She described years of shame and trauma and said seeing her abuser adopt a new female identity felt like “salt in my wounds.”

Judge Gavin Doig said Wolf had shown “no remorse whatsoever,” handed down a three-and-a-half-year sentence, a lifelong place on the sex offenders register, and a sexual harm prevention order. Wolf indicated they may appeal.

The case comes as the number of transgender prisoners in England and Wales continues to rise, with most trans women who are biologically male still held in male prisons under government policy.
