Inside Carrie Underwood’s Farm Where She Grows Her Own Veggies & Cares for Chickens – Pics
Having grown up on a farm, the songstress has developed a green thumb in recent years. She considers her garden one of her “happy places,” as it gives her time to think and reflect.
Over the years, Carrie Underwood has shared glimpses of her garden on her expansive property. Embracing organic living, she has also added a greenhouse, further expanding her homegrown efforts.
After marrying former ice hockey player Mike Fisher in July 2010 in a Southern-style wedding in Georgia, the superstar and her husband chose to settle in the countryside.

In 2011, the then-newlyweds purchased 400 acres in Franklin, Tennessee for $3 million. They envisioned a private retreat surrounded by nature, designing a custom estate that included horse stables, a scenic lake, and rolling hills.

The following year, the couple shared a glimpse of the then-empty land during an appearance on “Oprah’s Next Chapter,” offering a preview of what would soon become their dream home.
While driving across the estate, Fisher pointed out a scenic ridge, describing it as a vantage point that “sees everything.” He also noted the addition of an orchard that had been planted on the other side of the property.

The couple highlighted a designated picnic area situated on an elevated spot, with Fisher describing it as a location with a “nice high spot” and a refreshing breeze, where they planned to add more trees.

Their connection to the land encompassed more than scenic views and carefully planned spaces. In July 2022, Underwood shared a video on Instagram, showcasing the abundance of fruits and vegetables grown in her garden.

“My garden is one of my happy places…when I’m getting my hands dirty it’s my time for thought and reflection,” she expressed, adding, “Enjoy a little taste of calm…from my #Garden to yours.”

Her devotion to homegrown produce deepened over the years. Since 2018, the musician has not only maintained a garden, but also cared for chickens, and nurtured an orchard.

Designed with a mix of L-shaped, rectangular, and round beds, along with outdoor raised beds, the space allows for a diverse range of plantings.

Inside, she positioned a potting bench on the south side of the structure, surrounded by citrus trees. The greenhouse also contains designated herb beds and seeding tables filled with a variety of plants. Just beyond, a chicken coop provides a steady supply of fresh eggs from the hens she raises on the property.

With their farm becoming a true haven for animals, Fisher gifted Underwood two cows for Christmas in December 2020 after attending a cattle auction, with their son, Isaiah, naming them Brownie and Oreo.
The cows arrived after their five horses moved into their “forever barn,” leaving the front pasture open for new additions. Moreover, the family took up beekeeping, with Underwood hinting that donkeys might be next.

I remember exactly where I was 20 years ago when a friend told me on my way to class what had happened. It was absolutely impossible to comprehend at the time the words that he was saying… https://t.co/l6JcBLj2QI pic.twitter.com/oguu05AV3q
