“Baby Trafficking!”: Pregnant Woman Thought She Was Having Twins, But Hospital Only Gave Her ONE Baby

Kathelen Tavares is a mother from Brazil who is sharing her absolute shock and heartbreak after an unexpected event at the hospital.

She shared how she was so excited to welcome twins into her household. She underwent so many ultrasounds to ensure her twins were well, and being a mom to another pair of twins was certainly her way of saying that she was lucky.

But that anticipation of expanding her brood slowly turned into a tragedy and shock after the hospital where she underwent the c-section mentioned that she only delivered one baby.

Devastated as ever, she demanded an explanation as to what happened and where her other twin was. Every medical record she had recorded her two fetuses, so where was it?

Now, what is even more shocking is how the hospital registered her as having twins. However, the medical staff kept insisting that she only had one baby.

‘They placed my child against my chest and I waited for the second one. But that’s when they told me that there was no second baby’- she continued.

Despite her and her partner’s constant asking, they wouldn’t give her answers.

A thorough investigation was carried out, and the final conclusion is that doctors misinterpreted one baby’s heartbeat as two. Even the placenta was sent for forensic analysis, and that’s where it was confirmed that only one baby lay in it this whole time.

So, as per experts, that first wrong ultrasound led to this day, which left her heartbroken.
