Mick Jagger, 81, and girlfriend Melanie Hamrick, 37, finally confirm engagement

Sir Mick Jagger’s girlfriend Melanie Hamrick has finally confirmed they got engaged, but there are no wedding bells yet.

The 81-year-old Rolling Stones legend, who first met the Beast of Burden singer, 37, when they were both touring Japan 11 years ago, welcomed son Devereaux Octavian Basil into the world in 2016.

Now, Melanie has revealed the rock icon actually proposed a few years ago.

‘We’ve been engaged two or three years,’ she told Paris Match, translated from French.

At the moment, there are still no plans to get married as she admitted she doesn’t really want to ‘change anything’ about their relationship.

She added: ‘Maybe one day we’ll marry, maybe not. We are so happy in our current life that I would be too afraid to change anything.’
