Inside Sophie Delezio’s whimsical country wedding

Behind-the-scenes photos from miracle survivor Sophie Delezio’s weekend wedding show the woman once regarded as Australia’s bravest little girl in a playful mood and tenderly embracing her new husband.

Delezio, 24, married her childhood sweetheart Joseph Salerno in a whimsical country wedding at exclusive Hunter Valley estate Anambah House on Saturday.

Sophie wore a long, flowing gown with intricate detailing on the bodice, complete with a long lace veil and a train that was carried by her gleaming bridesmaids.

Her bridal party of four friends wearing beige-coloured gowns kicked up their heels after the marriage vows and celebrated with champagne on the lawn amid landscaped gardens and hedges.

Joseph wore a chocolate coloured suit for the ceremony, his best man and groomsmen wearing matching beige suits with RM Williams boots.

Following Saturday’s nuptials, Sophie, Joseph and their bridal party joyfully popped champagne corks and let out cheers.
