Fans praise Tammy Slaton as she unveils 500lb weight loss in swimsuit
Tammy Slaton has wowed fans with her 500lb weight loss as TLC share a new video of her in a swimsuit.
The 1000lb Sisters star has left fans speechless after showing off her jaw-dropping transformation during a family getaway, proudly flaunting her 500-pound weight loss in a bright blue swimsuit.
The 38-year-old rose to fame back in 2020 on TLC’s reality TV show 1000-lb Sisters where she – along with her sibling, Amy Slaton – gave us a glimpse into their lives as medically overweight women.
In a new Instagram video shared by TLC, Tammy is seen basking in the sun, laughing with her sisters, and floating around in a rubber ring — something she never imagined she’d be able to do.
“I’ve always been too big to fit through the tube hole, the doughnut hole, so I was for sure that it wasn’t going to fit over me,” Tammy said in the video.
“But it did. So I’m like, ‘score’.”

She even cracked a joke about her newly achieved milestone, adding: “Since I can’t eat the doughnut, I guess I’ll wear it.”
And yes, fans were absolutely here for it.
“I love how spunky, happy, and silly Tammy is now! A total 180,” one gushed in the comments.
Another said: “The fact that she can fit in that doughnut is amazing am so happy for her she came such a long way.”
A third fan added: “I love how she is loving and living life!! Enjoy it Tammy you deserve it.”
Tammy’s transformation journey has inspired thousands, with viewers watching her go from 725 pounds (328kg) down to an incredible 226kg — a feat that seemed unimaginable when she first appeared on the TLC reality show.

“Tammy is a whole new person and I love it,” a fourth fan wrote.
A fifth chimed in: “I’m glad she’s able to start enjoying her life again.”
And a sixth fan said what many were thinking: “When I first started watching them I never ever thought we would see her get here. It’s absolutely amazing. She has bounced back like no other. From laying on her deathbed to living and travelling the world.”
Tammy herself has also taken a moment to look back at how far she’s come. Speaking last summer, she admitted she still can’t believe the size she once was.
“Dude, I was huge,” she said in August.
She added: “I take a lot of pictures, a lot of selfies and I do, not because I think I look good — well, I do, a little bit. But mostly because I want to remember how big I was, what I look like.”
