A CITY’S OUTRAGE Chicago Is Not Playing!
Chicago is shaken after a pregnant mother, Carshawnda Hatter, and her two children were attacked by a group of students near Orville Bright Elementary on the Far South Side. The family says the kids followed them, punched her son first, then dragged the mother into the grass while pulling her daughter’s hair.
One of the students involved has now apologized on video, while Carshawnda’s community gathered outside the school demanding immediate accountability from the kids, their parents, and CPS. Officials, local activists, and even rapper Lil Zay Osama have stepped in offering support, calling the attack “deeply disturbing.”
People in the neighborhood say this wasn’t the first bullying incident at the school — and that this time it went too far.
